Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This policy explains how 21WebDesign (“we”, “us”) uses personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions, or to use any of your rights, contact admin@21webdesign.co.uk.

Project enquiries (Project Assistant)

If you use the Project Assistant to send an enquiry, we collect the information you choose to provide:

  • your name and email address, and your phone number if supplied
  • your company or business name and a description of your business
  • your project type, requirements, timeline and budget, and any other free-text details you enter
  • your preferred contact method
  • your confirmation that we may contact you about the enquiry

The enquiry is sent to us by email. You can also ask for a copy to be emailed to you. The conversation itself is not stored on our server, and nothing is sent unless you submit the enquiry.

We use this information to reply to you, discuss your project and prepare a proposal. We do not use it for marketing and we do not intentionally send it to Google Analytics.

Lawful bases

  • Responding to enquiries: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in running a business and replying to people who contact us.
  • Optional analytics: your consent. You can refuse or withdraw it at any time with no effect on your use of the site.
  • Security and technical logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and working.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner or preferences. Until then Google Analytics is not loaded and its cookies are not set. With consent, Google Analytics may collect usage information such as the pages you view, device and browser information, an approximate location derived from network information, and how you interact with the site (for example clicks on project links or the Project Assistant opening). We do not enable advertising features, Google signals or ad personalisation.

We send a small number of events (for example a project link click) and the type of project chosen in an enquiry. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, company names, website addresses or any enquiry content to Google Analytics. See the Cookie Policy for the cookies involved.

Who we share data with

  • Resend, our email delivery provider, which processes enquiry emails on our behalf.
  • Our website hosting provider, which processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser details) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Google (Google Analytics), only after you consent.

We do not sell personal information. These providers act on our instructions or under their own terms and are used only for the purposes above.

International transfers

Some of these providers, including Google and Resend, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep information

  • Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to respond and, if a project follows, for the length of the work and a reasonable period afterwards for business and legal records. Enquiries that go no further are normally deleted within 24 months.
  • Analytics data is kept for the event-data retention period set in our Google Analytics property.
  • Your cookie preference stays on your device until you clear it or we change the policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to its use, and receive a portable copy where it applies. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Contact admin@21webdesign.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects analytics, we will ask for your choice again.
